I thought I was doing the right thing by resisting the urge to have a credit card
or take out loans for big purchases. I found out that I was wrong after falling in love
with a beautiful house. I headed down to my local High Street to see what mortgages
the banks could offer me. The first bank I came to turned me down and the same happened
at the second and the third.
Do you know why they turned me down? Apparently I don't have a credit history! It
doesn't matter that I've never owed anyone any money in all my life - surely I'd be the
perfect candidate to give a mortgage to!
I was at my wits end and I could see myself losing the house. So I looked through my
local paper and I came across a National & Capital advert that said they could offer mortgages
for people that had been turned down by the High Street lenders.
My N&C personal adviser, William, came straight round to my house with all the options laid
out for me and I've ended up with a mortgage that is as competitive as any High Street lender.
Because National & Capital's computers like to say "Yes" I managed to move into my new house
a month ago!
